Surf clothing - 6 foot and pumpkin awesomeness re-launch.

Surf clothing is something James Jagger has always had a passion for. Designing and creating it’s what led to the original incarnation of the 6 foot and pumpkin apparel line. A comedic play on words, leveraging the often used surfer saying, ‘6 foot and pumping’, 6 foot and pumpkin flipped this to a more spooky theme. After a period on hiatus, the 6 foot and pumpkin surf clothing brand is back.

Surf clothing in 2024 and beyond.

Surf clothing has undergone a change in the last few years. Apparel with a surfy, salty and sandy feel has become more boutique. Those big-name brands that once were everywhere - think Rip Curl, Billabong and Quiksilver - have now fallen by the wayside. One reason is that surfers and those with a penchant for the ocean want a less corporate feel from their surf wear.

The updated 6 foot and pumpkin surf clothing logo.

It’s true that big name surf clothing companies became more corporate a few years back. And with this lost some traction. Home-grown, more bespoke-feeling brands suddenly became more of a go-to. This is why James Jagger has resurrected 6 foot and pumpkin.

6 foot and pumpkin surf clothing - updated but still with the same ethos.

It’s no secret James is a water baby. When not off on wedding photoshoots, event assignments or Alamy news hound tapping James can be found in or very close to the sea. A long-time windsurfer, surfer and paddle boarder James’s other photographic passion is shooting watersports.

Over the years he’s been involved with this on various levels. Including being the main windsurfing equipment test photographer for Windsurfing UK. As well as contributing to SUP Mag UK and others. The synergy between James’ photography, his watery passions and surf clothing are therefore tangible.

New designs and creations.

A refined approach is how we’d describe the new run of 6 foot and pumpkin surf clothing designs. The updated branding and aesthetic leverages an improved look but still with the core values of 6 foot and pumpkin intact.

We think the 2024 range of tees is fab! And from a unique identity point of view, we also feel 6 foot and pumpkin in its current form represents a more individual look and feel. Which we hope will resonate with prospective customers.
