Sports event photography assignments have been abundant in 2024. James jagger has been on call for a number of gatherings including the Woking Tennis Champs and Hambledon Football Club matches. Alongside his other photography work, James is asked to shoot sporting events such as these regularly.

Sports event photography 2024 highlights.

With sporting events the action often comes thick and fast. Any photographer documenting the occasion needs to be ready to point, shoot and nail the shot(s). Anticipation is a big part of this. So it’s handy that James is able to do so. This comes from being a participant of a number of different sports himself - tennis being a particular case in point.

The 2024 Woking Tennis Champs were a high point this past year. As was being on hand to photograph various matches for Hambledon Football Club. And then there’s the watersports photography which James indulges in. Whilst not events in the traditional sense these still count as weather (or rather wind and waves) aren’t ever guaranteed in the UK. Thereby making each session an event in their own right.
